Um Kirfa (Fatima bint Rabeea bin Bader AlFazarri, also spelt Umm Qirfa) was a woman who became the governor of her tribe and a symbol of pride, social status and respect, as more than fifty swords that were gifts from the leaders of tribes hung in her house. Um Kirfa had twelve sons . Unfortunately, Mohammad’s followers attacked her tribe by "hiding through the day and creeping during the night" . Um Kirfa and her gorgeous daughter were captured by Mohammad's followers. Muslims were against the idea of a woman governing a tribe as Mohammad said “A nation headed by a woman shall never succeed” so they tortured her alive by tying her legs to two different camels running in opposite directions, tearing Um Kirfa in two.
They then chopped up her body and presented her head as a gift to Mohammad in Medina. Mohammad ordered that Um Kirfa’s head be shown throughout the streets of Medina to teach people a lesson. Mohammad gave his uncle Hoozan bin Abi Wahab the daughter of Um Kirfa to entertain himself.
ام قرفة واسمها فاطمة بنت ربيعة بن بدر الفزاري هذه المرأة كانت الحاكمة الفعلية لقبيلتها وكان يعلق في بيتها خمسون سيفا ولها اثنا عشر ولدا كان البدو يضربون المثل في العزة والمكانة الاجتماعية والاحترام فيقولون لو كنت اعز من ام قرفة لسوء حظ ام قرفة استهدف محمد قبيلتها في حملاته المستمرة ضد القبائل البدوية وراء الاموال والنهب والسرقة والنساء. جاء اتباع محمد الى هذه القبيلة بنفس اسلوبهم المعهود المسير ليلا والاختباء نهارا عند الفجر وكالعادة هجم اتباع محمد والناس نيام سقطت ام قرفة وابنتها الشابة الحسناء اسرى عند اتباع محمد كان هناك الكثير ضد ام قرفة عند اتباع محمد امراة تحكم قبيلة ومحمد يقول لن يفلح قوم ولوا امرهم امرأة وربط اتباع محمد رجل ام قرفة الى بعير وربطوا الرجل الاخرى الى بعير اخر ثم انطلقوا بالبعيرين باتجاهين مختلفين فشقا ام قرفة الى نصفين وهي على قيد الحياة لم يكتفوا بذلك بل قطعوا جسدها واخذوا رأسها هدية الى محمد في المدينة. امر محمد اتباعه بالمسير والطواف براس ام قرفة في شوارع المدينة لتكون عبرة لمن اعتبر وقام محمد بتكريم خاله حزن بن ابي وهب بإعطائه ابنة ام قرفة الحسناء الجميلة ليمتع نفسه بها.
